Two Iranian Nationals have been arrested on suspicion of importing approximately 1,480 grams of the drug ketamine, concealed inside a water hose.
According to the police, on March 10, the two suspects, in conspiracy with an unidentified individual, are suspected of using an international courier to send the package from France to a vacant house in Yamato-Koriyama City, thereby importing it into Japan.
The drugs are said to be worth around 45 million yen. The police have not disclosed whether the two suspects have admitted to the charges, citing concerns that it may hinder the investigation.
