A man and a 19-year-old girl have been arrested for allegedly threatening a man they took to a hotel and extorting cash.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, suspect Yu Hang Li and the teenage girl reportedly coerced a man they took to a hotel in Toshima Ward of Tokyo last year. He claimed “I’m a gang member and this girl is my girlfriend.”
They allegedly threatened and confined the man at a mahjong parlor owned by Li, forcibly took approximately 300,000 yen, and caused injuries, including kicking the victim.
During the investigation, Li denied the allegations, stating he received a distress call from the girl claiming she was being raped, and he went to help. The girl, on the other hand, admitted to the charges, stating that she followed Li’s instructions.
