Seven people were arrested for forcing the cancellation of sales of the iPhone 15 series for arguing in front of an Apple Store.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, seven suspects, including Kajiro Shirai and Chinese national Song Guoqing, are suspected of causing a disturbance in the vicinity of an Apple Store in Shibuya, Tokyo on September 2023, over the purchase of a new iPhone, shouting at each other, forcing the store to cancel sales and otherwise obstructing business.
The seven are believed to be members of the quasi-gang Chinese Dragon and were in trouble within the group over buying up new iPhones for resale.
The police haven’t revealed the plea of the seven people, but the shop had cancelled all public sales for five days from the original launch date.
