A 76-year-old male potter living in Tokyo was arrested for breaking into a condominium in Atami City, where his estranged wife lives, and spraying a fire extinguisher inside.
The incident came to light after a report from the condominium management company, and during the investigation of security camera footage, the man was identified, leading to his arrest.
The entrance of the condominium had an auto-lock system, but the man allegedly entered through an open door when a resident was coming in.
During police questioning, the man denied the allegations, stating “I didn’t do it.”
