A 42-year-old Chinese National residing in Fukushima, was arrested on suspicion of assault. According to police, around 1:30 a.m. on the 11th, inside a lodging facility in the Ito City, the man is suspected of attacking a 37-year-old female Chinese university professor by hitting her on the head with a glass bottle.
The woman did not suffer serious injuries and was not hospitalized.
Police have not revealed whether the man has admitted to the charges. They are currently investigating the relationship between the two and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
