According to the police, around 10:30 AM on the 19th, a foreign-looking man forcibly entered the home of a 68-year-old man in the small Fukuda area of Goka. The intruder demanded money from the resident, subjecting him to physical assault with a hammer-like object and a knife, before fleeing the scene with stolen cash.
A nearby resident reported, “The man came to our house, saying he had been robbed.”
The victim, who suffered minor injuries, stated, “I thought it was a visitor when the intercom rang,” describing the intruder as “appearing Southeast Asian.”
Police are treating the case as a robbery with assault and are actively searching for the suspect.
