Two High Ranking Members of Vietnamese Crime Gang Arrested

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police re-arrested and arrested Nguyen The Kien (25) and Nguyen Sy Than (34) respectively, two Vietnamese Nationals, for entering a commercial facility in Kawasaki City and stealing 2,900 kilograms of copper wire. The approximate value was 3.5 million yen. According to the police, the two suspects are believed to be key operatives in a Vietnamese crime syndicate that repeatedly stole copper wires.

Several others, including transporters were seen at the crime scene. After initial investigations, the syndicate is believed to have sold 6,700 kilograms of copper wire.
