A Vietnamese National, Tran Van Bien (34), was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and its sales at a warehouse in Kasama City. One cannabis plant is suspected be cultivated in Kasama City.
According to the police, on the 4th of this month, a fire broke out in the warehouse. When officers arrived, they discovered 323 plants believed to be cannabis.
The LED lights lined up on a blue sheet were among the items seized. These lights are believed to have been used to promote the growth of cannabis. Due to the large scale of the cultivation, police suspect that there were accomplices involved and are continuing their investigation.
On the 6th of this month, during an on-site fire investigation, Tran was seen observing the warehouse. When police questioned him, they found him in possession of pruning shears with blades longer than 8 centimeters. As a result, he was arrested on the spot for violating the Sword and Firearms Control Act.
