4 Cambodian Nationals Arrested for Stealing Copper Wire in Tainai City

Sarikd Devid, and three other Cambodian Nationals were arrested for stealing copper wire from a solar power plant in Tainai City.

The suspects came to Japan as technical trainees, but allegedly conspired to theft instead, stealing approximately 2 tons of copper wire, with a value of around 3 million yen.

According to police, the four broke into the power plant, cut the copper wire for easy transport, and loaded it into a car. Police believe the four had met each other through social media and are continuing the investigate the incident.
