A 31-year-old Chinese National was arrested in Sapporo on suspicion of theft.
The Chinese man is suspected of stealing four items – a frying pan, a shower head, a cutting board, and instant soup, which amounted to over 12,000 yen.
According to reports, a security guard spotted the Chinese man trying to leave the store without paying and arrested him on the spot. Upon questioning, the Chinese man insisted that, “I didn’t steal them. I just forgot to pay.”
