A woman calling herself “‘Non-chan”‘ has been arrested on suspicion of scamming a man of money through so-called “itadaki girl” tactics.
The suspect arrested on suspicion of fraud is Hina Ukita, 21, known as Non-chan, a nurse at a beauty clinic in Nagoya.
She is suspected of committing fraud last year, when she was a vocational school student, by swindling a 58-year-old company employee, out of 1,060,000 yen in cash.
The suspect received 100,000 yen from the man for a kimono rental and then sent him a letter of thanks. She also received cash to pay for school fees and a driver’s license, after which he couldn’t contact her. She confessed to the police that she had been going to a male host bar and had run out of money.
