On the 10th of this moth, a Pokemon Card Specialty shop in Ikebukuro fell victim to a theft, with over 300 valuable cards stolen. Some cards pried at 50,000 to 60,000 yen each.
Surveillance cameras captured the thieves, seemingly unfazed by security warnings, breaking display cases and swiftly snatching ’em all.
The store owner estimates the loss to be between 15 to 20 million yen. Despite the security company’s intervention, the thieves managed to escape within a minute.
The shop has yet to resume operations while the owner is planning to file a police report in the aftermath of the incident.
