The bodies of a couple in their 50’s were found at their home in Adachi Ward, Tokyo on the 18th. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police arrested a 30-year-old Filipina, an acquaintance of the couple of suspicion of abandoning the bodies. She denies the allegations.
The arrested individual is Hazel Ann Bagisha Morales (30), a Filipino national of unknown occupation residing in Adachi Ward, Tokyo.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, on the 16th of this month, Morales is suspected of abandoning the bodies of Takahiro Takahashi (55) and his wife Kiyomie (52), who were self-employed and lived in a residence in Adachi Ward.
The son, who lived with the couple, reported three days prior that “the whereabouts of both parents are unknown.” After investigating the space beneath the floor of their home, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police found the bodies of the couple, later confirmed to be Takahashi and his wife.
Multiple wounds, believed to be caused by a bladed weapon to the upper bodies, were found on the bodies of the couple.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police, suspecting someone abandoned the bodies, conducted an investigation, including the examination of security camera footage, leading to the identification of the suspect’s involvement.
During the investigation, the suspect reportedly denied the allegations, stating, “I don’t know anything.”
According to sources familiar with the investigation, the suspect had a previous romantic relationship with the family of Takahashi, and there was acquaintanceship with the couple.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police is examining the detailed circumstances of the case.
