Two Malaysian Nationals, aged 58, were arrested in Ashiya City for suddenly stabbing a man.
According to the indictment and other documents, at around 10:15 a.m. on January 16, on a street in Ashiya City, one of the suspects, a painter, struck a 35-year-old man near the head with a hammer, while the suspect, a taxi driver, stabbed him in the abdomen with a knife, causing injuries that required two to three months to fully heal.
On the same day, Hyogo Prefectural Police arrested the two on suspicion of attempted robbery-murder, alleging that they not only stabbed the man but also stole his smartphone. Later, on January 30, a 28-year-old Chinese National was also arrested on the same charge for allegedly conspiring with them.
