Tully’s Coffee Japan (located in Shinjuku, Tokyo) announced on October 3rd that a system breach, caused by unauthorized access to its direct-operated online store in May, may have resulted in the leakage of personal information of 92,685 customers. Among them, credit card information of 52,958 individuals may have been compromised. Tully’s has coordinated with credit card companies to implement preventive measures against fraudulent use.

Customers potentially affected by the breach were contacted individually via email or post. The company has urged those who notice suspicious charges to contact their credit card providers immediately. Currently, the company’s official e-commerce site, “Tully’s Online Store,” is closed, with no set reopening date.

Tully’s commented, “We take this situation very seriously and will implement measures to prevent a recurrence. We deeply apologize to our customers and all related parties.”
